TradeBuilds Privacy Policy

TradeBuilds ("TradeBuilds," "we," "us") provides a customer-relationship and job-management app for trades businesses on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who this policy is for

TradeBuilds is a business tool. Most information in the app is entered by you, the business owner or your team, about your own operations and customers. You are responsible for the customer data you enter and for having a lawful basis to store it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, business name, and authentication details. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a token and the name/email you authorize; we do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Business and customer data you enter. Clients, contacts, addresses, quotes, jobs, invoices, price-book items, notes, documents you upload, and related records. This data belongs to your business.

Payment information. Card payments and subscription billing are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles card data under its own terms and PCI compliance. We store payment status, amounts, and related references.

AI assistant. If you use the in-app AI assistant, the questions you send and relevant business context are processed by our AI provider to generate a response.

Device and usage data. Basic technical data needed to operate the app (for example, app version and, if you enable notifications, a device push token). If you enable calendar sync, the app writes your scheduled jobs to your device calendar with your permission; that data stays on your device/your calendar account.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the app and your account.
• To sync your data across your devices.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe).
• To send you notifications you enable (e.g., job reminders, quote/payment updates).
• To provide AI assistant responses when you use that feature.
• To provide support and to secure, maintain, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in our cloud database and file storage provider and processed by the sub-processors below. Access is protected by authentication and row-level security so each business can access only its own data.

Third parties / sub-processors

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
• Apple and Google — optional sign-in providers (only if you use them).
• Our AI provider — powers the AI assistant feature.
• Apple Push Notification service — delivers notifications you enable.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel or request deletion, we delete or anonymize your business data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records (for example, invoices) to meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correct, export, or delete your data by using the app or contacting us.
• Turn notifications, calendar access, and the AI assistant on or off at any time in the app or your device settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under GDPR or CCPA). Contact us to exercise them.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), authentication, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

TradeBuilds is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted at https://tradebuilds.app/privacy with an updated date.
